Accor recently announced its Ibis Navi Mumbai property as fully operational. The property was soft-launched earlier this year when the establishment opened 60 of its 190 rooms to guests. The property, part of InterGlobe Hotels, a joint venture between Accor and InterGlobe Enterprises, is situated on the Thane-Belapur road in Navi Mumbai, and will cater to corporate travellers in the region.
Speaking on the sidelines of the launch, Maverik Mukerji, General Manager, Ibis Navi Mumbai said, “Navi Mumbai is a growing city, gaining popularity in its own right. There is definitely a dearth of quality international accommodation in the area, and Ibis hopes to fill this. Our target will be the corporate travellers to the region owing to the strategic location in a growing industrial area.”
Mukerji further added that the property broke even within the first ten days of its soft launch this year, and had been posting a month on month profit ever since. The company is set to expand the Ibis product portfolio with one property each in Jaipur and the Delhi international airport in the next three months, he informed.
