Jumpin Heights, set in Rishikesh and now Goa was started as a homegrown adventure Brand 11 years ago has now achieved a global record for India with 1,00,00,000 jumps at Rishikesh.
Started in 2010, when adventure tourism in India was restricted to rafting, Jumpin Heights has pioneered a new era of global standards of safety in extreme adventure in the country. It follows the Australia and New Zealand safety standards for Bungy operations and is owned and run by ex-army officers with jump masters trained extensively under experts from New Zealand. Jumpin Heights now operates in two locations: Rishikesh and Goa. The brand is accredited as having played a key role in making Rishikesh the ‘adventure capital of India’.
Bungy had never been practiced on a formal scale before Jumpin Heights entered the landscape of adventure sports in India. Due to the lack of trust and confidence in existing players, absence of official regulations with regard to safety and resultant casualties; the youth was hesitant to indulge in Bungy and other extreme sports in the country. Jumpin Heights went on to formalize the regulations which are now the official safety standards for Bungy jumping in India. The brand not only changed the face of extreme adventure, especially Bungy in India but also, went on to popularise this sport in India. Set up amidst the stunning landscape of Rishikesh, this is India’s first and highest Bungy jumping platform (83 meters).
Rahul Nigam, Managing Director & Founder, Jumpin Heights, said, “We are thrilled to hit this record. On achieving this milestone, we congratulate India on achieving this milestone together and showing the world that India’s got guts. We began our operations to bring to India something that its youth could be proud of. We have been consistent in our motive to serve adventure enthusiasts an exhilarating experience, with safety standards at par with the best globally. Since the inception of our operations, safety has always been our priority and continues to be even amidst the pandemic. However, we make sure there are no compromises with the thrill of the experience.”
Jumpin Heights is the only Bungy facility to have been certified and recognised by the Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India for Bungy operations in the country. Since its inception, the brand has earned high acclaim for its safety standards. The brand has been covered extensively in media nationally and showcased globally for its exceptional safety standards. It has been continuously striving to bring the best of adventure for travel enthusiasts and adventurers.
After their resounding success in Uttarakhand, Jumpin Heights began operations in the tourist capital of India- Goa, from August 28, 2019.
