Turkish Culture and Tourism Board in India is all set to conduct a 6 –city roadshow in India from October 8 to October 13, 2018. These roadshows will be organized in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Chennai, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The aim of the roadshow is to further strengthen Turkey’s image as a popular destination in Indian outbound travel market. The roadshow will also help in positioning Turkey as a leisure, wedding & MICE destination amongst Indian travellers.
Deniz Ersöz, Culture & Tourism Counsellor, Turkish Culture and Tourism Office in India said, “India is a very important market and we are aware of the potential it holds in terms of inbound visitor traffic to Turkey. Turkey and India enjoy warm relations and also share a close historical relationship with strong cultural links. We aim to tap the important cities through our six-city roadshow where we will interact with agents and update them about Turkey’s latest offerings.”
Turkey welcomed 87,000 Indian visitors in 2017. Turkey has witnessed 95 per cent increase in Indian arrivals during January – July, 2018. “If this trend continues we will be hosting almost 2 lakhs Indian tourists by the year-end,” Ersöz opined.
