The Group recently organised training sessions in New Delhi and Ahmedabad for domestic tour operators. The training session was organized in New Delhi in association with the Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI). The objective is to create awareness among domestic operators about services and offering of the Oberoi Hotels and help them to sell the properties of the Group in a better way. As part of the training programme, Oberoi Hotels also launched winter package where it provides rooms at 30-35 per cent lower than the actual price.
More than 60 members of ADTOI participated in the training session to enhance their knowledge about Oberoi’s properties and its services in New Delhi and 130 tour operators from across Gujarat attended the session in Ahmedabad.
Kapil Chopra, President, Oberoi Hotels and Resorts, briefed about Oberoi’s journey so far and highlighted the importance of domestic market. Speaking on the occasion, Sanjay Rai, Executive Vice President of Sales, The Oberoi Group, said that the workshop has been organised to send a message to travel trade that the Group is equally focused on domestic market. Hemant Mediratta, Vice President Sales – Travel Trade, The Oberoi Hotels & Resorts, urged domestic tour operators to sell Oberoi’s properties aggressively and be the part of the Oberoi’s growth and reputation. Oberoi’s hotels have consistently been ranked among top three hotels of the world.
Subhash Verma, President, ADTOI, termed the event in New Delhi as a historic as this was the first time that Oberoi Hotel’s conducted trainings exclusively for the members of ADTOI.
