Routes Asia 2013, to take place in Mumbai in March, is expected to attract over 90 airlines from across the region and beyond with confirmed representation from 82 carriers to date. This year’s event will also see several first time attendees including African carriers such as Arik Air, Kenya Airways and South African Airways. The low cost sector will also be well represented.
From India, airlines such as Air India, Jet Airways, Spicejet and IndiGo will attend with their senior delegations along with Air India Express and JetLite.
“The team has already received registrations from the likes of Aditya Ghosh, President of IndiGo along with Sanjay Kumar, IndiGo’s Chief Commercial Officer; Neil Mills, CEO, Spicejet and Hou Wei, Chief Marketing Officer, Hainan Airlines. We are very excited to bring the route development community together in Mumbai at what will be the largest Routes Asia event to date,” revealed Nigel Mayes, Vice President & Commercial – Routes.
Almost 220 airport delegates representing 210 airports have also registered to attend the event to date. New registrations have been received from a number airports and tourism authorities including GMR Hyderabad International Airport, Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation, Changi Airport Group, Queen Alia International Airport, King Fahd International Airport, Abu Dhabi Airports Company, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport and the Ministry of Civil Aviation, Government of India.
