Pallazzio Hotels & Leisure, a subsidiary of real estate developer Phoenix Mills, has rebranded the Shangri La hotel Mumbai, as Palladium Hotel, also owned by it. Hong Kong-based hospitality chain Shangri La and Pallazzio Hotels decided to mutually end their partnership for the 390 room premium hotel located in the popular commercial district of Lower Parel in the city.
Shishir Shrivastava, Director, Pallazzio Hotel & Leisure said, “We are pleased to inform that the hotel is being re-branded as Palladium Hotel. This luxury property will be managed by Pallazzio Hotels & Leisure Limited, which is a part of the Phoenix Mills Group Ltd.”
The luxury hotel which opened doors to guests in January this year, had been operating at around 50 per cent capacity with an average room rate of under Rs 9,000. Only a few of its restaurants and half of its total room inventory were thrown open to the public.
“We have witnessed an outstanding booking season and we are confident that it will continue to be business as usual for all our employees, customers, partners and the services we provide. In order to exceed the expectations of our loyal clientele; Palladium Hotel will soon introduce its signature restaurants along with the newly launched attractions Mekong – our Asian Fine Dine and Li Bai – Asia Bar as well as new world-class banquet facilities”, added Shrivastava.
