South African Tourism set to debut at SATTE 2020

South African Tourism is all set to kick-start the new year with a high impact, first time ever association with South Asia’s leading travel show – SATTE 2020. The tourism board will showcase destination South Africa at the 27th edition of the trade show, which will be held at the India Expo Mart, Greater Noida in Delhi NCR from 8th to 10th January 2020.

South African Tourism, along with 43 prominent South African exhibitors, will introduce novel and upgraded destination offerings including DMCs, hotels, luxury experiences, advanced MICE infrastructure, as well as unique adventure, wildlife and culinary capabilities. Lucrative partnerships are anticipated given over 1,050 exhibitors, buyers, and travel professionals from over 50 countries and 104 Indian cities are slated to visit the trade show.

Speaking about the association, Neliswa Nkani, Hub Head – MEISEA, South African Tourism said, “At South African Tourism, we continually strive to educate potential travellers from across the globe of our unique only-in-South Africa tourism capabilities. We are hence, excited to be associating for the first time with one of India’s finest travel show. We expect profitable partnerships and high-impact meetings between South African exhibitors and global and Indian buyers to stem from this association. We are also thrilled at the prospect of bringing South Africa alive at SATTE 2020 through indigenous South African performances and wine tasting pop-ups.”

2019 was a yet another remarkable year for South African Tourism in India. Through the course of the year, the destination board succeeded in driving Indian traveller aspiration and demand for South Africa through aggressive consumer and trade engagements, including similar high-impact partnerships and focused familiarisation trips.

Between January to September 2019, the destination welcomed 72,807 Indian visitors to South Africa as compared to the 70,558 visitors during the same time period in 2018.
