Mauritius-based Sun Resorts is attempting to build its brand visibility in India through its partner agents here by providing them with special rates to offer their customers. “We only sell through the B2B medium and hence offer our Indian partners special rates to push sales and develop brand visibility. We have been seeing an increasing interest from India. In fact, Mauritius as a whole has been a popular destination among Indians with 55,000 Indian visitors recorded,” said Medha Sampat, Owner, Knack Marketing, representatives of Sun Resorts in India.
Speaking about Sun Resorts’ brand positioning in India, she stated that increasing visibility is the company’s focus right now, for which they are looking at forging new partnerships as well strengthening existing ones. For the same, Knack Marketing will also continue to organise annual trainings for their partners to further educate them on what the properties have on offer.
Sampat further revealed that the company is trying to position each property separately as they cater to different market segments. “We are trying to strategically position each hotel separately, while also showcasing each one’s relevance to the Indian market. For instance, our 5 star deluxe property Le Touessrok is perfect for honeymooners and golf enthusiasts and is also home to an Indian restaurant. The Long Beach property is more contemporary, and so on. Our Indian agents help us promote the properties and the special offers they roll out,” added Sampat.
