Swiss International Air Lines (SWISS) transported 3,730,131 passengers in the first three months of 2018, some 1.9 more than it carried in the same period last year. A total of 32,380 flights were operated in the first-quarter period, 2.5 per cent fewer than a year ago.
Total first-quarter capacity was raised 2.6 per cent this year in available seat-kilometre (ASK) terms. Total traffic volume, measured in revenue passenger-kilometres (RPKs), was up 3 per cent. Systemwide seat load factor for the period improved accordingly, rising 0.3 percentage points to 77.9 per cent.
