Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI) and the Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mumbai, recently signed a historic MoU for a period of 5 years for promoting bi-lateral ‘Indo-Vietnam Tourism Co-operation’ in Mumbai.
The intent of the Memorandum is to create a market for tourism to Vietnam from India and vice versa. Also to develop ties for investment and opportunities along with promotion of bilateral tourism between members of TAAI and Vietnam. Both parties shall create and develop programs for attracting tourism and related activities with the help of each other.
Plans are on the anvil to conduct tourism promotions, workshops and roadshows for trade education besides easing of visa processing for agents and organizing delegations to and from Vietnam for the travel fraternity, thus paving the way for the promotion and increase of tourism exchanges and cooperation between the countries for their mutual benefit, and in accordance with the domestic laws in both countries.
Consul General Vu Son Thuy and Tourism Council Chairman Jay Bhatia signed the MoU. This memorandum shall be exclusive between TAAI and Consulate General of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Mumbai.
