THOMAS COOK FORAYS INTO NEW MARKETS

Thomas Cook (India) Ltd (TCIL), India’s largest integrated Travel and Travel related Financial Services Company, announced its foray into Chhattisgarh with the inauguration of its branch at Raipur, by Rajesh Munat, Minister of Urban Development, Housing, Environment and Transport- Chhattisgarh Government. This is in keeping with the company’s aggressive expansion strategy in potential Tier II and III markets. The Raipur branch offers total travel solutions with its wide range of travel and travel related services: Holidays, Air and Rail Tickets, Cruises, Foreign Exchange, Travel Insurance, Visa & Passport Services and MICE. The office is situated at Gaurav Path, a key commercial area of Raipur. Commenting on the new branch opening, Amod Thatte, Sr Vice President, Leisure Travel (Outbound) said, “Raipur has been on our radar for a while now, given the increasing sales from the state due to fast paced economic development and resultant high disposable incomes. Chhattisgarh with its rich resource base and associated industries holds great potential for holiday and business travel.
