The Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) Chairperson Jyoti Mayal along with CEO Rajan Bahadur and Vivek Shandilya met the Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship (I/C), Govt of India Jayant Chaudhary at Kaushal Bhavan, New Delhi.
During the meeting Chaudhary talked about various scope in the field of Tourism, Hospitality and how skilling can help youth to find meaningful employment opportunities.
Mayal and Bahadur briefly explained the various initiatives like Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY), Pradhan Mantri Vidya Karyakram (PMVK), and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) being taken by THSC under the purview of Ministry of Skill development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE) and in guidance of National Council for Vocational Education and Training (NCVET) and the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).
The discussion also covered to provide more skilling within states, especially Northeast and Ministry of Tourism were discussed.
