Visit Hungary hosts Networking Evening, aims to enhance ties with Indian travel trade

The Visit Hungary delegation conducted a successful two-city sales mission, meeting with key agents, MICE operators, Delhi Airport Authority, Indian carriers, corporate and OTAs in Mumbai and Delhi.

Visit Hungary, the international brand of the Hungarian National Tourism Authority, recently organised a successful networking evening in New Delhi for top Indian travel agents and tour operators.

The event, held at the Embassy of Hungary, aimed to strengthen ties with the Indian travel trade and welcomed 70 guests from across the luxury, leisure, and MICE sectors. István Szabó, Ambassador of Hungary to India, addressed the gathering.

The event began with a welcome address by Lubaina Sheerazi, CEO and co-founder of BRANDit, which set the stage for an engaging networking session. Ivan Ljubinkovic, Regional Head of Business Development-India, Visit Hungary, provided a detailed overview of the diverse opportunities the country offers to Indians across leisure, MICE, celebrations, and destination weddings. He also emphasized Hungary’s ability to meet the growing and varied demands of the Indian market.

Presentations by key Hungarian partners, including Marriott International, Kempinski Hotels, Duna Cruises, Corinthia Hotels, Lotus Voyagers Group, MIKI Travel, Up Hotel Budapest, and Dúzsi Tamás Family Winery showcased the wide-ranging experiences, reinforcing its potential as a premier destination for Indian tourists.

The evening concluded with a networking dinner, providing participants with the opportunity to explore collaborations and discuss strategies for promoting Hungary as a leading travel destination.

In addition to the networking event, the Visit Hungary delegation conducted a successful two-city sales mission, meeting with key agents, MICE operators, Delhi Airport Authority, Indian carriers, corporate and OTAs in Mumbai and Delhi. These efforts further solidified the groundwork laid over the past year.

With Indian tourism to Hungary on the rise, the event effectively positioned Hungary as a top choice for Indian travellers, boosting awareness and driving demand for visits to Budapest and beyond.
